Expanded graphite yarns are made of twists of low-sulfur expanded graphite combined with reinforcing materials, and are suitable for weaving of expanded graphite braided packing,graphite cloth, graphite woven tape.

A wide variety of reinforcing materials are used in the yarn twists (depending on different working conditions): including cotton yarn, fiberglass, carbonized fiber, and wires of inconel wire , SS304 or copper.
